Terry Receives Honors From Ingram's Magazine

Warrensburg – Action Realty Co.'s broker/co-owner, Jeff Terry, has been named to Ingram's 40 Under Forty, an honor reserved for the most accomplished business and community leaders in the region under 40 years of age. Ingram's has served as Kansas City's preeminent business magazine for over three decades, and since 1998 has set the standard for identifying emerging leaders in professional services, non-profit organizations, and public service.

All honorees are selected because of their contribution to the Greater Kansas City community based on their leadership skills and giving of their time and resources to organizations. Terry has co-owned and operated family-owned businesses in the Warrensburg and surrounding areas. Up until 2008, he served as an executive officer and director of the Bank of Holden, his family's business for five decades.

After selling the bank to Central Bankcompany, he was able to serve the Warrensburg community  with his entrepreneurial skills by co-owning the DQ Grill & Chill. In 2010, he joined Action Realty Co. as a broker/co-owner, his father-in-law's real estate company that has served the Warrensburg community since 1958.

Under Jeff's leadership, along with his wife and father-in-law, Action Realty's team closed more transactions in 2011 than any other real estate company in the Warrensburg area. In addition to his successes in business, Terry believes his most significant achievement has been to serve as the mayor of Warrensburg (2009-2010). Under his mayoral leadership, he brought change to the ordinances to address underage drinking and helping Warrensburg become Missouri's 14th community to ban smoking in public places.

"Community service and involvement was instilled in me by my grandparents, mother and father," Terry says. He has also served on the Warrensburg City Council, Warrensburg Planning & Zoning Commission, president-elect of the Midwest Missouri Board of Realtors, state director of the Missouri Association of Realtors, board member of Johnson County Economic Development Corp. and the United Way, and many others.
